County Community Service Center Gets Lettering for Businesses in the Brea Area

The County Community Service Center (CCSC) opened in June. Previously, we worked with the County of Orange on signage solutions such as ADA-compliant signs, 3D logo signs, frosted glass covers, wall wraps and decals, and various exterior directional signs. For this project, we did a permitted building sign. The letters are custom-made cast aluminum that we painted dark brass, which is part of the building’s sign program.

When we came to do the installation, we noticed that the building had a bad paint match from the last sign shop that took down the previous tenant’s sign. Because the signage has to look right, we fixed the mistake, matched the paint, painted the soffit, and then stud-mounted the cast letters. Did we have to go beyond the design, production, and installation of aluminum building letters? No. However, we believe in doing a job right, including an excellent paint match when called for. The finished product looks great and does an excellent sign welcoming visitors to the new location.

A Closer Look at Custom Building Sign Installations

Our team designs, produces, and installs all types of signage. We work under a C-45 sign contractor license, which enables us to mount electrical and non-electrical signage. We have invested in an aerial bucket van to reach facade areas that regular ladders cannot reach. When we remove signs or prepare a facade for installation, we may have to make some repairs.

• Remove adhesive that has been left behind when someone else removed a sign.
• Take a paint chip from the building and mix a perfect color match. 
• Patch holes and paint before installing any type of sign on a facade.
