Located at 4300 Westminster Avenue in Santa Ana, the Second Baptist Church invites the faithful to worship on Sundays at 8 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. But there is so much more going on. Special events, family-friendly outings and Bible studies are just some of the events that take place at the church’s facility. When it came time to beautify the building with church wall murals, Santa Ana’s Second Baptist Church’s contractor contacted Superior Signs and Graphics.
We visited with the faith community’s facility team and discussed the manufacture and installation of several large wall murals. For churches in Orange County, these types of wall graphics are commonly seen in the children’s ministry rooms. But this church wanted to break out of the mold and include them into other locations within the building. After having undertaken an addition for a multi-purpose room, our clients were looking to dress up the stage area that also held two 70-inch TV monitors.
We began with a 30-foot wide wrap that covers the back wall of this room. The monitors are seamlessly integrated into the design. A die-cut archway mural was placed on the room’s opposite end. It mimics the appearance of a stained glass window. In the stairwell, we placed a wrap and stripes. We chose a matte vinyl look, which allows the murals to look great even when direct light is aimed at them. This allows for the detail work to truly shine.
When you are thinking of dressing up the hallways and rooms of your faith community’s building, wall murals are a cost-effective method for getting a great design at a budget-friendly price. Rather than spending a lot of money on a paintjob and then hiring a mural painter, our wraps are easy to design in-house, manufacture and then professionally install at your facility. Go for a larger size to really change the atmosphere of your location.
For the children’s ministry rooms, these wall murals have long been fun ways of introducing Bible stories to the youngest church attendees. Since they are easy to clean up, they are useful in a setting where the occasional spill does happen. In the sanctuary, too, murals make a huge difference – particularly when there is an absence of windows that would allow for the colors of stained glass. Adding faux stained glass windows is an option for making the space look a lot bigger than it really is.
Of course, we also handle the beautification of wedding chapels, memorial rooms, restrooms, administrative offices and product showrooms. There is no limit to the improvements that wall graphics can make to any kind of space on your property. If you have been thinking of overhauling the look of your congregation’s meeting place but budget constraints have held you back, call our friendly wall graphics professionals for more information and an estimate. We gladly visit your location and do a site survey. This allows us to take measurements and give you an estimate. Who knows, this kind of beautification may be far less expensive than you had imagined!
