Building signs in Los Angeles maximize foot traffic. They are critical for presenting your brand and generating interest in your products or services. Our team specializes in multiple exterior signage solutions for our clients.
The Oncology Institute is a returning client. Previously, we worked with the teams from the San Bernardino County location (they needed mission and values wall panels) and the Cerritos venue (timeline wall of site suite openings). For this project, we traveled to 554 East San Bernardino Road, where the client had opened its newest location.
Our team designed, fabricated, and installed an acrylic building sign and logo. Technicians removed an existing sign from a prior tenant and painted the wall afterward to fix any damage from the old sign. The acrylic our client selected was a half-inch thick, white, and opaque. After cutting the lettering, we stud-mounted the signage elements.
The Superior Signs and Graphics front office team handled the permitting process for the client. Also, by using opaque rather than painting clear acrylic, the sign is sure to last longer and will not need any repainting.
Which materials are the most durable? Our client chose acrylic. Signs made from this material are resistant to the elements, making them a good choice for indoor and outdoor applications. We can add UV-resistant coatings to let painted acrylic signs last many years without fading.
Of course, there are other options, too. Metals are popular.
Another choice is Cor-Ten steel (weathering steel). When exposed to weather, it develops a rust-like appearance. This rust forms a protective layer, making the sign more durable.
If you are still deciding on a material for your building sign, remember that we also work with materials other than acrylic and metals. For example, PVC is lightweight, weather-resistant, and a cost-effective plastic. High-density urethane (HDU) has similar qualities; additionally, it mimics the look of wood without the risk of rotting. It works well for carved signs and lasts many years outdoors.
