Located at 1 Journey, the Aliso Viejo Library is a hub of activity. Not only do parents flock to the location for toddler story time, but teens also like to visit for book club discussions and after-school activities. When we heard from the interior designer who worked with the library’s administrator, it was to discuss the design and installation of window graphics and wall murals at this Orange County location.

After consulting with the client, we learned that the library was remodeling a part of its venue. They turned their juice bar into a creative play space for kids of varying ages. To make the transition complete, we helped with the creation of a small wall wrap above the locale’s counter area. Next, we added die-cut decals on the windows and door glass panels at the entrance that comes in from the library.

Our technicians added another set of decals on the glass panes facing the parking lot area. Now, the images invite parents and kids to enter, explore, and participate in the activities. The colorful pictures and fanciful shapes hint that this space is reserved for creativity and child’s play. Not surprisingly, children immediately catch on to the space’s new function and want to explore. That is precisely the response that these products were meant to elicit.
