Cal State Fullerton’s baseball and softball leagues are repeat clients. In the past, Superior Signs and Graphics did custom-printed wallpaper. The client asked us to return and do one of our huge custom building signs in Fullerton, CA.
It was not enough to go big for this client; they intended to have a huge sign that immediately grabs the eye and makes a strong impression. Because the client wanted an angled appearance as well as channel letter technology, we worked with a one-inch-thick aluminum box that is contour-shaped to reproduce the Titans logo.
Going this route is an excellent manufacturing method for a sign that measures nine feet in height and 25 feet in width. Each letter illuminates after dark, which makes a fantastic impression and is highly visible even from a long distance away. We had to mount the sign through the custom panels on the fascia to guarantee a secure attachment.
Look closely, and you will notice that we used 3M translucent vinyl to create the letters with the white outline. The combination of orange, white, and blue looks great. Concurrently, the fact that the letters seem to go past the confines of the overhand creates a successful visual presentation.
