Visit the shop

Buena Park businesses can visit the shop where their signs are designed, printed, and built

Because the shop is in town, Buena Park clients can stop by to see materials and samples before approving a design. Printing happens in-house on current HP wide-format equipment, which we added to keep colors accurate on large graphics and wraps. We hold a California C-45 sign contractor license (#1015342) for sign installation, and our wrap installers are 3M Preferred Graphics Installers. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Projects

Signs and graphics we have produced around Buena Park

Our Buena Park projects follow the city’s main corridors, from Beach Boulevard to Orangethorpe Avenue.

Beach Boulevard and the Entertainment Corridor

Medieval Times is a long-time client. We have installed its perforated window graphics, 3M vehicle wraps, and courtyard wall graphics, and most recently custom wall wraps cut to fit the keyhole-shaped openings in the walls that face Beach Boulevard and the entrance drive. At Beach and Manchester Boulevards, the City of Buena Park asked us to produce the marker for the Whitaker-Jaynes Estate, a ranch property dating to 1887 that is now part of the Historic District.

City projects and community organizations

For the City of Buena Park, we wrapped traffic signal boxes by the train station and returned for more electrical box wraps as part of a city beautification project, along with a themed electrical box wrap at Firehouse 61. The Boys and Girls Club of Buena Park has used us for a van wrap, vinyl wall graphics, a sponsor sign, and storyboards since 2013.

“I’m a strong believer in hard work and follow through. Superior Signs and Graphics demonstrates customer service at the highest level.”

Industrial and commercial buildings

Consolidated Electrical Distributors added 3D foam letter building signs when it opened its Buena Park location. KCS Health Center replaced its building lettering with a new foam letter sign when it redesigned its logo. On Orangethorpe Avenue, the Southern California Combat Club lights up its frontage with a face-lit channel letter sign we built.

“Superior Signs & Graphics did an excellent job from start to finish. First off, Scott responded to my inquiry within minutes. Then, from design consultation to city permits to installation, Scott and his team handled everything quickly and flawlessly.”

Vehicle wraps and fleet graphics

Buena Park businesses bring their trucks and vans straight to the shop. We have wrapped commercial vans and box trucks for local fleets, partial wraps for service trucks, and custom-designed car wraps installed by our 3M Preferred installers, including for private owners who want a one-of-a-kind look.

“Being a new business in Buena Park we needed a sign company to get our name out. Superior Signs and Graphics have exceeded our expectations with jobs we have given them.”

Permits

Buena Park requires a zoning compliance sign permit, with special rules on Beach Boulevard and at the Auto Center

In Buena Park, a zoning compliance sign permit from the Planning Division of the Community Development Department is required before any sign is put up, changed, or moved, under Chapter 19.904 of the Zoning Ordinance. Wall, pylon, monument, and new awning signs also need a building permit. Properties in the Entertainment Corridor Specific Plan zone along Beach Boulevard, or in the Auto Center Specific Plan zone, follow their own sign criteria, and sign programs that require Planning Commission approval are reviewed at a hearing.

The city asks for a scaled color drawing of the sign with dimensions, a site plan, building elevations showing existing and proposed signs, color and material samples on an 8.5 by 11 sheet, lighting specifications, and color photos of the site. We put that package together for you and submit it.
