Located at 2691 Richter Avenue in Irvine, the Illumination Foundation seeks to break the cycle of homelessness with active outreach services. It operates a children’s resource center, housing services as well as recuperative services. Realizing that health care is a great need among the homeless community, the organization takes its medical outreach to the areas where likely patients may be found. To this end, the Illumination Foundation acquired a 35-foot used recreational vehicle that the experts transformed into a mobile medical center. Next, they needed to find a way to stand out and make their presence known. This is when the signage pros at Superior Signs and Graphics got the call.

We discussed the best way to make their presence known with the vehicle. This RV has an impressive length yet the color and striping was weathered. That said, when you combine the remarkable size of the vehicle with a full wrap that shows off bold colors, you simply cannot help but attract attention. The Illumination Foundation had worked with its own marketing company to create the wrap design. Our technicians took the finished product and worked on the positioning and placement of the style elements, which allowed us to work around windows, storage access doors and control panels.

The RV now looks white and presents with a yellow wave design. It identifies the organization and spells out “mobile health,” which is sure to attract the attention of would-be patients. Niche-specific graphics – different on each side of the vehicle – underscore the written message. On the back, there is the foundation’s name and logo, various social media platform handles and the website address. The front of the vehicle displays the color motif and the organization’s name and logo. It is fair to say that this is one of the most dramatic vehicle transformations that we have undertaken.
