Electrical boxes are necessary. But you do not have to look at them. We specialize in vinyl wraps for electrical boxes in Yorba Linda, CA, and throughout Orange and Los Angeles Counties. Check it out!

The association management company had a problem. There were two ugly electrical boxes situated right next to the residences. They did not look good and stood out. The client asked us to wrap the boxes in foliage designs to make them visually blend into the background. We used a high-resolution image of foliage that fits in perfectly at the location. After wrapping both boxes, they no longer stand out and are actually difficult to see in the middle of the landscaping.
If you are familiar with our blog, you know that foliage-themed for electrical box wraps are quite popular. A case in point was an electrical box in front of the Robert M. Pyles STEM Academy. A custom foliage wrap completely changed the look and feel of the school’s entrance area. Our team also works with contractors looking to make the boxes blend in more with the adjacent landscaping. Here, the client provided us with photos of the scenery, and we printed them on 3M cast wrap vinyl. Note that these wraps also work well for traffic control boxes and similar structures needed for the smooth operations of city life.

What happens when you are looking for ways to beautify a sidewalk or street setting when there is no foliage or landscaping? In these cases, our clients have found ways to incorporate art. For example, the City of Buena Park had some boxes at its southern city limits. This client was looking for ways to welcome drivers and pedestrians. We designed, produced, and installed 3M vinyl wraps with a stylized beach scene complete with a Woody station wagon.
Another location was along busy Beach Boulevard. Again, there was no landscaping to blend with, so we needed artwork. Here, the client specified a floral motif with bold, vibrant colors that would actually stand out. In this way, it was easy to transform utility boxes into street art.
Q: What are the challenges of vinyl wraps?
A: Direct sunlight and tagging are two challenges of vinyl wraps anywhere on a street or property. However, we can apply laminates to protect the graphics from UV fading and even graffiti.
Q: How do you hide utility boxes aside from vinyl wraps?
A: If you are willing to spend a little extra money, you can become creative with the landscaping to hide utility boxes: plant tall shrubs and ornamental grasses. Building a custom enclosure is another option. Of course, the easiest (and certainly budget-friendly) choice is printed vinyl.
Q: What is the life span of a vinyl wrap?
A: A good-quality vinyl wrap lasts about five to seven years. It can stay looking great longer with the use of appropriate laminates protecting the print.
Q: What can you not wrap with vinyl?
A: You would be surprised just how many surfaces are well-suited for vinyl wraps. Generally, unfinished wood, rust, and porous surfaces are not good options. That said, even here, there are workarounds.
