A returning client, The Oncology Institute of Hope and Innovation is well aware that signage is a unique way to imbue a space with brand-centric displays and an immersive corporate culture. In the past, we have designed, fabricated, and installed timeline walls for site openings, as well as  mission statements and values. 

For our latest project, the client requested laser-cut dimensional logos and letters for Cerritos’ headquarters. They specified half-inch-thick white, opaque acrylic for the logo, with black acrylic lettering underneath. We installed these logos in their new-hire training room. Laser Cutting for Your Next Signage Project

We had previously discussed the ins and outs of laser-cut acrylic letters and given clients a behind-the-scenes look at the equipment. Acrylic is an excellent material for this type of project. It cuts cleanly with polished edges. There is generally no need for secondary finishing. (PVC and vinyl are not good options.) If you are considering engraving rather than cutting, glass and stone are excellent choices.  

Sticking With the CNC Router

Of course, as we mentioned previously, we did not get rid of our CNC router. It is the right tool for working with aluminum, Dibond, PVC, and similar materials. It is important to note that this technology, too, allows for accuracy and good looks. That said, laser-cut acrylic is simply a cut above the rest.
