We have collaborated with the ISAT/Tomarco brand since 2014. Previously, we assisted the client with custom building logo signs. Our latest project involved a custom logo wall sign in La Mirada, CA. The client wanted a 3D lobby logo sign for its marble wall; however, since marble can crack and crumble during an installation, we did not want to use stud mounts. Could we still make the client’s vision for their reception area a reality? You bet!

Planning to use 3M VHB tape with a 100% silicone adhesive, our technicians carefully selected the sign’s materials with weight in mind. We started with a thin aluminum backer panel. Next, we mounted the half-inch-thick acrylic style elements to the panel. Once secured on the wall, we framed the sign with a quarter-inch-thick acrylic border. It underscores the 3D construction without the need for any stud mounts.
Our client specified a 3D lobby reception sign for their La Mirada office. That said, we did start the construction with a flat panel. The difference between dimensional letters and flat panel signs is that the 3D letters are raised and mounted separately. Flat panel signs lack the dimensional appeal; however, there are plenty of attractive options for welcoming customers with a backing panel that is imprinted.

Clients typically request logo signs for reception areas. ISAT/Tomarco wanted the sign for the lobby of their La Mirada location. The most common installation location is the wall behind the reception desk. However, we have also designed, fabricated, and installed logo wall signs in conference rooms, hallways, and showroom entrance walls.
The best materials for a logo wall sign are those well-suited to branding your business. For our client, the custom logo wall sign in La Mirada consisted of aluminum and acrylic. Acrylic is easy to customize in terms of color, font, and size. That said, you do not have to limit yourself to acrylic. Our team has also worked with indoor-rated sign foam, various metals, and PVC. If you are unsure which material is the best choice for your location, discuss your thoughts with our team!
