We frequently work with clients who are looking to upgrade their mobile marketing. Recently, we helped a company switch from smaller die-cut graphics to 3M commercial van wraps in Orange County, CA.
Fire Safety First has been in business since 1978. During its tenure, the company has assisted countless customers with fire protection and life safety equipment. When traveling to work sites, the company uses a fleet of Mercedes Metris vans. Previously, the client had relied on die-cut graphics for brand building and advertising.
Now, it was time to upgrade the fleet with partial van wraps. Our graphic artist collaborated with the client on the desired design. With an emphasis on branding, we developed partial wraps that tell the customer at a glance what the company does and how to contact them. The decals were removed, and the partial wraps were installed quickly, so the client could continue using all fleet vehicles to visit customers.
For this example, we treated Mercedes Metris commercial vans. However, we also frequently work with clients who have numerous different vehicle types in their fleets. In these scenarios, our graphic artist will take the 3M fleet graphics as a base design and make changes to account for varying vehicle sizes, surface measurements, and angles. This way, we ensure a consistent look even if your fleet includes cars, trucks, and vans.
3M Premium vehicle wraps are long-term signage solutions. Therefore, the expense is calculated on a cost per year of life basis. While another shop’s vehicle wrap may be less expensive initially, it must be replaced sooner than ours. When customers of other shops are paying again to have another set of vehicle graphics installed, our clients will likely go for another two years.
How can we offer this type of warranty? Easy! Our shop holds the 3M Preferred Graphics Installer certification, which means we know how to work with vinyl in ways other technicians do not. Besides that, remember that 3M helped HP develop specialty inks and warrants wraps printed with them for an additional two years. Our late-model HP 700W Latex printer uses these next-generation inks. In contrast, most other shops still rely on Roland or Mimaki Eco-solvent printers.
